Good waves at Pantín Classic 2020

The best surfers in the world gathered last week at the Pantín Classic Surf Pro 2020, where once again Jael Jewelry and TAG Heuer were present.

The event, which enjoyed large waves, left spectacular images, as can be seen in the gallery that accompanies these lines, the work of photographer Adolfo Enriquez. The edition was marked by the security measures in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, which did not detract one iota of emotion from an event that year after year is surpassed. The winners were Portuguese in both categories: Vasco Ribeiro and Teresa Bonvalot reigned over the Valdoviño beach.

Cleaning your jewelry and keeping it in perfect condition is much simpler than it seems. Here are some basic tips on how to clean your gold, silver and gemstone jewelry.

How to clean gold and silver

There is no better, simpler or more economical to clean gold jewelry than with soapy water. Put the piece in a container with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing detergent and let it act for a quarter of an hour. Then rub the gold with a cloth or, in the case of more hidden dirt, with a soft bristle brush. Rinse the jewelry well and let it air dry. It is important to remember that the water you use should not be too hot, as this could damage the precious stones or some of the elements that adhere to the gold.

How to clean diamonds and precious stones

Soapy water is also the best ally for cleaning diamond jewelry. Soak the piece in warm water with a few drops of detergent and, once the detergent has worked, clean the stone with a soft brush. Be especially careful with the back of the diamond, where more dirt may have accumulated.

Jael pays tribute to the Police

The director of Jael Joyería in A Coruña, Tono Carabel, attended yesterday an act of recognition to the groups whose work is key in the coronavirus crisis.Onda Cero paid tribute to several social groups (security forces, essential service workers, transport workers and, of course, health workers) who led the citizen effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. “At the height of the crisis, in the midst of confinement, when we were all wondering what would happen next, we have been fortunate to have people who have made us feel safe,” said Carabel in his speech at the event.
Jael Joyería was in charge of honoring the National Police, represented at the event by its senior chief in Galicia, José Luís Balseiro. Carabel stated that the corps “has spared no effort or hours of work to protect us from an invisible and often incomprehensible enemy, and in many cases exposing themselves to contagion, as shown by the known numbers of infected agents”.
Jael’s director highlighted the “professionalism, rigor and also the left hand” of the police officers: “Nobody better than them has interpreted the confusion and fear that the citizens felt, especially in those terrible weeks of March and April. No one like them, like the officers and the commanders who day by day transmitted reassuring news to us, have worked so that the citizens could remain calm. They have been, during the worst health crisis in living memory, our guide on how to contribute to this collective victory that we are still working on in the face of the coronavirus”.
